Madison's Place Playground will be the final shining jewel of the remodeled Bielenberg Sports Center. But money still needs to be raised to make it a reality.
The Madison Claire Foundation is launching a crowd funding campaign to raise $200,000 toward the balance needed to begin the construction of Madison's Place Playground, the East Metro's first inclusive, completely accessible playground. The 16,000 square foot playground will be incorporated into a project that includes an accessible splash pad water feature and accessible bathrooms.
I LOVE shopping at the Cooks of Crocus Hill shop on Grand Avenue. Whether it's a gift for a cook on my Christmas list or something for my husband or myself to use in our kitchen, there's always a super assortment of knives, small electrics, coffee and tea makers, pots and pans, gadgets and gizmos of all kinds.
If you were living in Woodbury in 1997, you remember when Sunsets of Woodbury opened at the corner of Radio Drive and Tamarack Road. What a beautiful restaurant, with great food, a spectacular brunch, fun bar and fabulous happy hour. Lots of memories were made there for many Woodbury residents, including my family. This is where we would take my parents when they came to town. Where we celebrated special occasions at brunch. Where my husband and his partner went to lunch every Tuesday. Where we gathered with friends after high school football games and Woodbury Community Theatre plays.
A large crowd packed the Sheraton St. Paul Woodbury Hotel on February 5 for our third annual Best of Woodbury event, celebrating Woodbury Magazine's 10th annual readers' choice finalists and winners. We were thrilled that so many locals bucked the cold to come out and join us that evening. We were also honored to have Natalie Nyhus as our emcee. Natalie reports traffic and entertainment for WCCO 4 News This Morning. She's a Woodbury native, and her parents Tom and Diane Kane were also on hand for the celebration.
As 2013 draws to a close, I'd like to thank you, the readers of Woodbury Magazine, for your engagement and support of our publication.
