Celebrate the Worldwide Day of Botanical Art with with the opening reception of "Out of the Woods," a national traveling art exhibition celebrating trees in public gardens. The event will also feature demonstrations and tours by artists from the Minnesota School of Botanical Art and a presentation by Director of Exhibitions for the American Society of Botanical Artists Carol Woodin. Artist Patrick Dougherty and a team of Arboretum volunteers will create a unique art installation on Scarecrow Hill. Once completed, the installation will be on display at the Arboretum for the next 1-2 years.
