American Legion Post 501 hosts Veterans Day celebration.
Mark your calendars for the annual Veterans Day celebration at the Woodbury Lions Veterans Memorial on the City Hall campus on November 11 at 3 p.m.
Minnesota National Guard 1st Sgt. Andrew Haigh, who is a veteran of two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, will be the ceremony’s keynote speaker. Haigh also works with veterans at the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs in Fort Snelling.
“I’ve asked Andrew to talk about what supporting all veterans looks like,” says event facilitator and retired Brig. Gen. John Schuster. “It’s an important topic, especially in today’s day and age.”
In case of inclement weather, the celebration will be held in City Hall.
