Eric Morley spent 25 years in retail and logistics at Best Buy before making the leap to small business owner. “I wanted something completely different,” he says. And his wish was granted: On January 27, Morley unveiled Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More of Woodbury, one of three Big Frog franchises in Minnesota.
Community members have been receptive to Big Frog’s friendly service, reasonable prices and quick turnaround. Big Frog’s turnaround time is 24 hours on in-stock items; they also offer special orders like embroidery or screen-printing. Morley credits the Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce for generating a lot of his business, and encourages all local business owners to become members. “It’s a great networking tool,” he says. Many residents, clubs and sports teams have made Big Frog their go-to spot for custom T-shirts, where on-site designers help customers realize their vision for no added cost.
Unlike other custom T-shirt vendors, Big Frog can make a single T-shirt. Morley recalls that one customer had the opportunity to be on The Price is Right and she wanted a custom T-shirt for herself and her husband to wear to the show. Another customer revealed her second pregnancy with a T-shirt for her toddler that announced he was going to be a big brother. “That’s what’s so fun about being the owner,” Morley says. “I get to be part of all these experiences.”
