What started as a small gathering of a few artists around the St. Croix Valley, Afton Art in the Park has become an annual tradition for many people around this community. Now celebrating its 38th year with more than 90 contributing artists around the valley, this two-day festival on September 24 and 25 will offer beautiful handmade artwork with everything from jewelry to woodworks to paintings.
“It’s a great place to buy unique gifts and things for yourself with its array of price points, even if you only want to spend ten dollars,” Deb Larson, event co-manager, says. The event will also include live folk and jazz music from the band Patchouli, great food, a wine and beer tent, and an arts and crafts pavilion for kids. The outdoor dining restaurants and quaint shops in Afton will be open for visitors to enjoy the late summer weather.
