The Prom Center in Oakdale, host of many area corporate, nonprofit and wedding events, is now Envision Event Center. The name change and rebrand is due in part to the sale of Prom Management Group and Prom Catering’s golf division, catering to about 35 PGA golf events.
The Prom Ballroom was iconic to St. Paul as was the Prom Catering name, says Leah Prudhomme, Envision’s new business development executive and brand manager. “Today’s younger generations and millennials are looking for events beyond the ballroom; if you can envision it, we can create it,” she says. “Our new brand name focuses attention on large special events and corporate lunches for up to 750 guests as well as high-end trendy parties, awards banquets and more. It is an event center and pop-up kitchen for offsite venues.”
