Carver Lake Camp Out celebrates annual event.

The Carver Lake Camp Out provides a great family weekend getaway opportunity right in the community. “You feel like you’re out in the wilderness, but it’s really just a drive from home,” says city of Woodbury recreation technician Jon Hagen. The annual camp out started in 2008 and has been a family-friendly event ever since. This year’s event will be July 8-9; activities are geared towards children ages 4-12 and include a scavenger hunt, geocaching GPS units, kayaks, archery, beach access and a nighttime campfire.
