The opening of Cabela's in May 2013 signaled a new period of business growth in Woodbury, with a variety of incoming commercial developments, new tenants moving into existing spaces, and longtime businesses expanding and renovating throughout the city. “It’s tremendously exciting to see the difference that a year makes for Woodbury’s business community,” says Karl Batalden, housing and economic development coordinator for the city of Woodbury. “A year ago, we were planning for growth and development, and now it has arrived. New developments at Bielenberg Gardens and CityPlace are underway while existing property owners are continuing to reinvest. Last year was a great year for Woodbury, and we’re looking forward to a vibrant 2015 as well.”

Retail development of the Urban Village master plan; a large retail development at Radio Drive and Bailey Road that includes 10 retail outlets. One tenant to date is Jerry’s Foods, whose 71,400-square-foot space will also house Starbucks and a liquor store.
