STORY:
Steve Wagenheim and Dean Vlahos know how to build lasting, successful restaurants. The two were partners in Champps Americana before selling the Woodbury franchise over 25 years ago. Since then, each has established a handful of well-known eateries, including Redstone American Grill and Granite City. The two have paired up once again to open Craft Kitchen & Bar, which opened in July in the former Sunsets of Woodbury location.
Craft Kitchen & Bar aims to separate itself from other restaurants in Woodbury by offering handcrafted comfort foods and beer. The quality menu is complemented by a strong ownership presence that focuses on creating an enjoyable experience for each person. “Craft is all about the individual,” Wagenheim says.
Wagenheim and Vlahos are excited to come full circle and serve the Woodbury community once again, this time with a vastly different, yet equally intriguing concept than they started with over 25 years ago with Champps. “We’re going to create a destination,” Wagenheim says. 700 Commons Drive, Woodbury; 651.735.1997; craftkitchenbar.com
