While enjoying a beautiful summer day at Carver Lake, Leia Felicilda noticed some visitors approaching. “I had been sitting on the beach with a friend when a group of ‘momma ducks,’ as I like to call them, came right up to us, seeing that we had some snacks,” Felicilda says. “These females came within arm’s length and did not require me to zoom in very much when taking the picture.”
Felicilda has lived in Woodbury for 18 years and aspires to become a full-time photographer. “I’ve been taking photos since I was around the age of 13, and I’ve been fascinated with capturing life behind a lens ever since,” she says. “As I continue to learn and grow as a photographer, I’ve been particularly drawn to photographing landscapes and all kinds of different people.”
