The Ghost of Christmas Past

Ebenezer Scrooge has become a staple of the holiday season, and Woodbury Community Theatre is bringing the iconic curmudgeon to the stage in a musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novella A Christmas Carol. For this production, “bigger is better” will be the mentality, at least when it comes to cast and crew—50 actors will be cast and 30 staff members will assist with everything from costumes, lighting and sound to stage management. This production will take a different approach from the one the theater did three years ago, director Lenore Weir says, adding that it’s a special show. “I think the premise of the show is so meaningful to me; it’s about family and treating people well, and that’s what it’s all about,” Weir says.
