This month, Jerry’s Foods celebrates Halloween with a cake-decorating contest, free kids’ trick-or-treating event and Halloween-themed cupcakes, cakes and desserts.
The Spooktacular Cake Decorating Contest
Saturday, October 15, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
The most talented cake decorators from Jerry’s Foods and Cub Foods compete to create the best decorated Halloween cake. These competitive decorators take their skills to the max, and visitors are invited to watch the decorating demonstration—and maybe get some inspiration for their Halloween cakes, cupcakes or cookies.
Trick-or-Treat for Kids
Saturday, October 29, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Families and kids are welcome to dress up in their costumes and arrive at Jerry’s Foods ready for some goodies. The kids will receive a bag and travel through the grocery store to receive a treat from each department. In addition to candy giveaways in between departments, kids can also participate in face painting, coloring and crafts. There will also be a scavenger hunt at the end of the event for the kids to participate in.
“With over 900 trick-or-treaters last year, we had a huge success and can’t wait to celebrate again this year,” says Elizabeth Kriel, Jerry’s Foods event coordinator. Jerry’s also carries many Halloween-themed treats and desserts that are perfect for your at-home gatherings.
