Helping Hands
Donations welcome at local food shelf this holiday season.
Last year, the Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf distributed 485,000 pounds of food to families in need, and they are looking for similar strong community support this holiday season. The food shelf is expanding its healthy and ethnic food sections and encourages donations of those items, as well as household and personal hygiene products including diapers, soap and detergent. Those wishing to donate can bring items to the lower level of Woodbury Lutheran Church on Mondays noon–4 p.m., Thursdays 3–7 p.m. and Fridays 9 a.m.–1:30 p.m. 7380 Afton Road; 651.233.1296; christiancupboard.org.—JD
