Here’s to the Holiday Season!
Total Wine is coming to Woodbury, just in time to help you find the perfect drink to pair with your holiday meal.
The holidays can often be overwhelming—there are parties to attend, gifts to buy and places to be. Undoubtedly, the last thing anyone needs is to get lost and overwhelmed when trying to find the perfect bottle of wine or spirits to go with a holiday meal. That’s where Total Wine’s brand new location in Woodbury comes in. “Total Wine & More offers a vast selection of more than 8,000 wines, 25,000 beers and 3,000 spirits,” says Courtney Rhodes, Total Wine senior associate of public affairs and community relations.
We know what you’re thinking: That is too much liquor in one store and there’s no way anyone could find what they’re looking for. Guess what? You’d be wrong. Rhodes says employees must complete 150 hours of training before being able to assist guests on the sales floor and at the tasting tables. For those who want to explore on their own, there will be iPads for guests to use and flat-screen TVs with product information.
Still want some more information before you head into the store? Rhodes has a couple of recommendations for the holidays: She says a medium-bodied red wine such as Renieri Invetro ($14.99) works with red meat and poultry; Lump of Coal Dark Holiday Stout ($6.99) is a great holiday beer with chocolate aromas; and Veil Vodka ($17.99) is distilled five times and charcoal filtered, making it perfectly smooth for holiday cocktails. —Courtney Blake
