The University of Minnesota Health Pediatric Specialty Clinic has joined the city’s growing list of health care providers. With numerous pediatric specialty clinic locations on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus and a St. Paul clinic, University of Minnesota Health decided to close the St. Paul location and open a clinic in Woodbury, home to many current patients as well as new families that can use their services. “Woodbury is known as a thriving and vibrant community with lots of growing young families,” says Beth Andrews, director of operations.
The new pediatric clinic offers care to children in a variety of pediatric specialties including cardiology, dermatology, physical therapy and more. They are partnering with Fairview Pediatric Rehabilitation Services, allowing even more pediatric therapy services—physical, speech and occupational—to be offered at the Woodbury clinic.
“Another thing that makes this new location unique is that we have a gymnasium custom designed for rehabilitation therapy for kids, with a zip line and climbing wall, a couple of therapy rooms and a room designed specifically for working with children who have feeding challenges,” Andrews says. “It’s a wonderful environment.”
