New Uses: New retail Concept Opens in Tamarack Square

New Uses had its grand opening in June at South Tamarack Square, and has introduced a fairly new concept in retail: buying and selling gently used furniture, artwork, mirrors, lamps, rugs—and basically anything else for the home. New Uses co-owner Valeta Cornwell says the shop is known for its quality items and affordability. It isn’t a thrift store or a place to go antiquing; it offers household items that are ready to go. “I go through piece by piece by piece,” Cornwell says. “Some things I pass on, some things I keep.” Customers can bring in their gently used pieces, and New Uses will make them a cash offer on the spot based on the brand, demand and quality. Cornwell encourages all new customers to come over to New Uses and bring something you no longer use, shop around and leave with something “new.”
