Mandi Folks is a stay-at-home mom who has lived in Woodbury for nearly three years. Last summer, on a beautiful July day, her sister asked Folks to take a photo to use on an invitation for her niece Greta’s first birthday party. “It turned out so cute that I thought it might place in the [Focus on Woodbury] photo contest,” Folks says.
Greta is joined by Ike, a Border Jack terrier; Hawk, a Parson Russell terrier; and Happy, a Labrador retriever. Folks says, “This picture is extra special to my sister because it’s one of the last pictures of Happy; he passed away last fall.”
Folks has been taking photos since her son was born seven years ago. Now the mother of four children ages 7 and under, she says, “There’s never a lack of things to photograph!”
