Each year, South Washington County Schools holds the One-Act Play Festival, with the presentation of competitive one-act plays from East Ridge, Park and Woodbury high schools. Each group has a maximum of 35 minutes to perform, with an additional 10 minutes for setup and takedown. The unique festival gives the community a chance to see all three high school plays and helps the students prepare for February’s state competition.
This year’s festival takes place at 7 p.m. on January 21 at Park High School, 8040 80th Street South, Cottage Grove. Attendees will see Come Back (Park), The Government Inspector (Woodbury) and Youth (East Ridge). Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door. Check out a YouTube video from last year’s performance here.
