Prom season is here. While it’s likely teens will spend a considerable amount of time choosing that perfect gown or tuxedo, they can’t forget about that one important accessory: flowers. Whether seeking a traditional boutonniere or an outstanding corsage, Wade Anderson, owner of Woodlane Flowers, provides some helpful tips and trends.
It’s not all about matching
Don’t stress about finding flowers that are identical colors to the ensemble. “Flowers are to enhance and compliment,” Anderson says.
Keep it simple
“A little flash is always kind of fun,” Anderson says. But it’s not necessary to overdo the glitz and glam.
Looking for a modern and contemporary look? Anderson recommends miniature cymbidium orchids or ranunculus bulbs which are sturdy and come in a variety of colors. Traditional yet popular flowers to consider are freesia flowers or miniature spray roses.
