To provide the best holistic youth soccer development in Minnesota, REV Soccer Club, Woodbury Soccer Club and their respective community organizations are merging to become Salvo Soccer Club. Salvo means “a coordinated attack,” and the name fits the new union. “The key now is for us to define who Salvo SC is through actions,” says Peter Rivard, technical director. “Assertiveness, teamwork, leadership and respect are the pillars of who we are.” The club serves soccer players ages 4 to 21 and up at the community, state, regional and national levels. “For many of our families, they will continue to play soccer within their community,” Rivard says. “But families are not restricted to their school district like other youth sports; instead they look for value.”
