Since 1999, local resident Wade Hanson has pursued his passion as a real estate agent. For him, each transaction is about the relationship with his client and comprehending the uniqueness of each home. His experience and knowledge in the field has led him to a strong understanding of the spring real estate market, with these tips:
Start Early
Most people make the mistake and believe that they should wait for the “spring market” in April or May, Hanson says, as inventory is low. If they wait until then, the inventory can become oversaturated with houses. “Because that’s everybody’s mindset and everybody is going to be putting their homes on the market,” Hanson says. “So I’d say, get your home on the market as early as possible.”
Spring Cleaning
An important part of selling your house is cleaning it up and showcasing its best features. “If you meet with a real estate expert early enough in your spring cleaning process, you can do a lot of staging and decluttering,” Hanson says, adding that it’s the steps you take prior to putting your house on the market that are most important.
Picture Perfect
Most great agents offer professional photography services. “We’re in a very photo-driven world,” Hanson says. “We want to make sure with your photos, people stop.” Getting people to stop and view your home as opposed to the others on the market is the main point of marketing.
Above all, Hanson says you need to find an agent who has these skill sets so your home is shown in its best light.
