May Day—the first of May—originates from European tradition during the Medieval era, celebrating the midway mark of the year and the flora that come with the following seasons; people sent out a floral basket as a sign of enduement.

DIY May Day Basket

DIY May Day Basket

Supplies:

  • Cardstock paper
  • Glue or tape
  • Chenille stems
  • Ribbon
  • Tulips and small greenery
  • Chocolates

Create your paper cone [or basket] using the cardstock. Cut the paper in half diagonally. Roll the paper together in a cone shape and either glue or tape the sides together. Read more about DIY May Day Basket
