Woodbury’s First Brewery Is Coming Your Way

Beer-lovers, rejoice! Woodbury will finally get its own brewing company and taproom as 3rd Act Brewery opens this fall. For Deb and Steve Long, opening the brewery has been long in the making. Steve has been brewing his own beer since the 1980s. When it came time to retire from his job at 3M, he knew he wanted to continue working, but didn’t want to work for anyone else. That’s when Deb came up with the idea to open their own brewery. “I went back to school to get back into knowing the latest and greatest,” says Steve, who enrolled in a brewing and beer steward technology program. “Technology has moved so fast and is completely different from when I started.”

Visitors to 3rd Act will never be bored. The brewery will feature eight beers on tap that will come straight from the storage tanks, and a couple of specialty beers tapped off of kegs—10 continuously rotating beers total. “You’ll never see the same thing twice,” Long says.

3rd Act Brewery broke ground this spring at 4120 Radio Drive and plans to open in in the fall.
