"The Drowsy Chaperone" hits the Loft Stage March 21–30.
Although turntables are a thing of the past, albums are finding a new generation of fans. Woodbury Community Theatre’s The Drowsy Chaperone celebrates music’s transformative power. The show opens with a die-hard musical theater fan placing his favorite album on a turntable. The musical jumps from the table and spins to life in his living room, telling the tale of a Broadway starlet’s attempt to find and keep her one true love. Performances will be held on the Loft Stage at East Ridge High School. Adults $18, seniors $15 and students, $10. March 21–30, 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 3 p.m. Sundays.
