Woodbury Days Brings Community Fanfare And Excitement

This month features community fanfare and excitement at the annual celebration.
The carnival rides and games are a Woodbury Days tradition.

This year marks the 38th annual Woodbury Days event, three days of community fun to commemorate the end of another Minnesota summer. The Woodbury Days council is a 501c3 nonprofit organization with a nine-member board and 20 to 25 volunteers who plan the yearly experience. According to president Theresa Janechek, the council tries to bring different events and activities to make Woodbury Days unique from year to year. “We try to stay up-to-date on the latest trends,” she says.

This year, there will be several new kid-friendly activities such as a robot-making workshop, catapult concoctions workshop (with the chance to catapult marshmallows) and a backpack bedazzling crafting opportunity. Additional demonstrations include a raptor show by the University of Minnesota’s Raptor Center and a magic show by ACME Magic Factory’s Brian Richards.
