The Woodbury Lions Golf August 12 at Eagle Valley

The Woodbury Lions Veterans Memorial Council broke ground in 2007 for what has since become a community treasure: the Woodbury Veterans Memorial. “It’s very important for our local folks to maintain a connection to their lost veterans. [Even] folks who don’t have [veteran] family members have the same kind of sharing … at this site,” says Don Place, co-chairman of the primary fundraiser for the memorial: the Woodbury Lions Veterans Memorial Golf Tournament in Memory of Dick Stafford.The third annual golf tournament is set for August 12 at Eagle Valley Golf Course, and the council hopes to raise $15,000 or more to continue efforts to pay for the memorial. $125 for round of golf, box lunch, dinner and evening events; $25 for dinner only. woodburyvetsmemorialgolf.com
