The story behind a mother’s photo.
Six-year-old Nolan Davis peers out from under a firefighter’s helmet at last summer’s National Night Out block party in his Woodbury neighborhood. “Nolan was very excited for the fire trucks to come to our block party,” says his mother, Colleen Davis. “He talked about wanting to try on the fireman helmet and gear, and he picked out his fireman shirt to wear to the party in honor of their visit.”A photographer and mother of four, Coleen has placed numerous times in the Focus on Woodbury photo contest throughout the past few years. “I’ve been taking photos ever since I can remember, and I typically photograph people,” she says.
