The East Metro Symphony Orchestra presents A Season of Stories - Chapter Three: Romance

Peter and the Wolf

December 1–2 Friends of the Minnesota Orchestra transform the atrium, lobby and mezzanine of Orchestra Hall into a hub of eight to nine activity stations where kids and parents can partake in arts and crafts and learn about this year’s production of Peter and the Wolf, given life and humor on stage by prop-assisted actors, while also trying out the instruments they’ll soon be hearing—no extra charge. The East Metro Symphony Orchestra presents A Season of Stories - Chapter Two: Holiday Dreams

The East Metro Symphony Orchestra (EMSO), will present the
second program of its 2016-2017 concert series, A Season of Stories, a series celebrating
different story themes through music. 
The program, Chapter Two: Holiday
Dreams,
will be presented in collaboration with the Woodbury Dance Center
(WDC), and feature a fresh take on Peter Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker.  The performance
will take place on Sunday December 18, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at East Ridge High
School, 4200 Pioneer Drive, Woodbury, MN.

Pillsbury House Theatre’s Late Nite Series

November 12 and 19 For its two remaining Saturdays in November, this series features several up-and-coming artists from Minnesota and New York who show off their stuff at Pillsbury House Theatre in South Minneapolis. Now in its 19th year, the series features different artists and performers each night. This year, the event will include a tribute to former participant and spoken word artists Kirk Washington, who died in a car accident last year. The East Metro Symphony Orchestra presents A Season of Stories - Chapter One: Friendship

The East Metro Symphony Orchestra (EMSO) will present the
first program of its 2016-2017 concert series, A Season of Stories, on Sunday, November 6, 2016.  The program, Chapter 1: Friendship, will be the first of five concerts
celebrating different story themes through music.  The concert will be presented at Trinity
Lutheran Church, 115 North 4th Street, Stillwater, MN, at 2:00
p.m.  Tickets will be available at the
door or in advance on the orchestra’s website:

Squire House Gardens Announces “Earth to Table” Fall Pottery Show

Squire House Gardens announces its fall pottery show 'Earth to Table,’ October 1-16, 2016, featuring the work of four Minnesota artists who honor the artful presentation of food in everyday living. 

A festive opening reception with the artists celebrating the harvest season will be held on the garden patio Saturday, October 1, from 1 to 5 pm. The East Metro Symphony Orchestra (EMSO) will present The Soul of Russia:  An Exploration of Russian Music, Classical to Folk on Sunday, May 15, 2:00 p.m., at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in North St. Paul, 2499 N. Helen Street.  Tickets will be available at the door and in advance through the orchestra’s website (www.emsorch.org):  $10 for adults, $6 for senior citizens.  Children under 18 are free. Boom Room Jazz

Join Boom Island Brewing for the 2nd installment in the monthly Boom Room Jazz series! Featuring the return of Brad Bellows & Company, music will begin at 7pm and will run until approximately 8:30pm. The East Metro Symphony Orchestra (EMSO) is pleased to be hosting its first Soirée on a Winter’s Night, an evening of live music, drinks, dessert, and silent auction, on Saturday, January 16th starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Lake Elmo Inn Event Center, 3712 Layton Avenue North, Lake Elmo, MN 55042.
