Author Sheletta Brundidge, known as Minnesota’s Autism Mom, is giving away hundreds of copies of her new best-selling book, Daniel Finds His Voice.

The book, which was recently featured on CBS This Morning, sold out two days after its release and is currently on reprint. It was written to help raise awareness about the impact that music has for children with special needs. The storyline is based on her son's connection to one special song that went viral in the summer of 2019.

Daniel, the youngest of Sheletta’s four children, has autism and was nonverbal until Lil Nas X’s hit country tune Old Town Road unlocked his ability to use words. Two years later, the six-year-old can talk and reads on a fourth-grade level.

Sheletta’s first book, Cameron Goes to School, was released last year and is about her autistic daughter. It was also a best seller. With Daniel Finds His Voice, Sheletta expands her mission to bring books featuring children of color with special needs to libraries, classrooms and bookstores.

On Sunday, April 18th at 1 p.m., Sheletta will partner with Allianz Life to hand out free books to teachers, therapists and parents who want a copy.
