Anticipated to open this fall, the Goddard School offers Woodbury students a proprietary play-based curriculum grounded in research on how children learn when they have fun. The school, founded by Tony Martino, caters to children ages 6 weeks to 6 years, and is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
The curriculum, used at Goddard Schools around the country, incorporates STEAM learning (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) with a framework called the FLEX program (Fun Learning Experience).
“Integrating the arts into all the activities allows children to have fun while developing essential creativity and innovation skills and learning to collaborate, communicate and think critically,” the school says on its website.
An on-site owner and education director collaborate to help ensure that each Goddard family has a positive experience and that every kid is individually known and appreciated.
