Maxville Services, the newest addition to South Tamarack Square in Woodbury, fully embodies “Auto Repair with Flair.” Owner and CEO Susan Moynihan, who’s been in the automotive industry for over seven years, is offering a new auto repair experience that is all about trust, transparency and efficiency.
After visiting a female-owned shop in Scottsdale, Arizona, Moynihan started researching and found that customers at repair shops were over 65 percent female. And she discovered that the majority of people don’t feel a sense of trust in where they go to get their cars serviced. This led her to start brainstorming how to build trust with her largely female clientele.
And how does she plan to do that? Transparency: questions are encouraged and customers are welcome to check out what’s going on with their vehicle during servicing. Educating: women’s safety clinics and classes on how to change a tire, how to jump-start your car, how to top off your fluids and more will be offered. And a little flair: Max Market has a gift shop/boutique feel, with gifts and cards as well as a mailing service. Max Studio Salon offers manicures, pedicures, blowouts and hair care for all. The Max Kids area offers activities and games for children of all ages.
“Woodbury just felt like the right place to go,” Moynihan says. She looks forward to involvement with local sports programs, the chamber of commerce and more. She’s already partnered with nonprofit organization Anna’s Honor, started by her friend, Lisa Dahl; Maxville provides auto service to families of long-term cancer patients while they are in the hospital.
