“I like to go out during snowstorms and this was probably soon after one,” Steve Shor says. “I was driving around and yes, I had in the back of my mind that I might get some capture that could be used for the Focus on Woodbury photo contest.”
The photo was taken in early April 2012. “As you may recall, things were still pretty frozen about then and just starting to thaw a bit,” Shor says. “It was a very gray day, mid-morning. Sometimes lighter colored subjects, like white buildings, just pop against a dark gray sky. This pavilion caught my attention, so I took several photos of it.”
Shor, who has lived in Woodbury since 1990, used his Nikon D300 with a Tamron 18-270 lens.
