“Can you believe I used my old Samsung Galaxy S III cell phone to capture this photo?” says Cheryl Singer. “I saw this gorgeous rainbow and decided to stop and take a photo with my cell phone. I thought it looked really cool over the red house; it feels like you’re out in the country somewhere far from suburban life.”
A Woodbury resident since 2003, Singer has always enjoyed taking photos. “I love capturing the memories of people, places and unique things,” she says. “I also love using my Nikon D3100 with either my 18-55mm or 55-200mm lens. It helps me to capture moments in time, especially of fast-moving subjects like my three hockey kids. But it doesn’t matter what kind of camera you have as long as you know how to use it.”
