Partners in Praise Girls Choir

Local singers to perform with Partners in Praise Girls Choir.

The Partners in Praise Girls Choir is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month with PIPFest 2014, a youth choral festival featuring 11 choirs from the Twin Cities, Rochester and Appleton, Wis. Kirsten Mayer, a senior at the Math and Science Academy in Woodbury, has been a member of Partners in Praise (PIP) for eight years. “I love the community and singing for people I’ve never met before,” Mayer says, adding, “[Director Julia Fahey] picks wonderful music for us to perform.”

East Ridge High School junior Anna Reimann is in her second year with PIP. Reimann was initially involved with classical ballet but decided, “I wanted to do something where I could travel around the world doing tours.” Last summer, the choir traveled to Italy and sang at the Vatican. Seven other Woodbury girls are members of Partners in Praise: Elena Cressy, Christina Ippoliti, Suzanne Melin, Molly Roche, Allison Stauffacher, Hannah Melin, and Eryn Zuiker.
