Profile by Sanford, a South Dakota based health and wellness franchise, often gives back to their communities. This past October, Woodbury’s Profile by Sanford worked with the Woodbury community in holding a donation drive; ultimately, the Woodbury location chose to donate to Royal Oaks Elementary school, where Deb Spotts, the assistant operations manager at Woodbury's Profile by Sanford, connected with Susan Risiuis, Royal Oaks principal.
“We played a bit of phone tag but when I did connect with Susan, she was very gracious and pleased with our choosing Royal Oaks as the recipient of our school supply donation drive,” says Spotts.
With the incentive of getting double punches on their member cards, Profile by Sanford members started bringing in donations that accumulated three boxes full of school supplies, including colored pencils, folders, notebooks, pencils and more. Better yet, Profile by Sanford matched monetary donations made by their members.
“Our members rose to the challenge and many donated several items to this drive," Spotts says. "They responded enthusiastically, especially knowing we were benefiting their own community with our efforts.”
The school supplies and checks were delivered to the school of 565 appreciative students. Even school staff received sample Profile by Sanford products and information.
“As a locally owned small business, we know that community is everything," Spotts says. "We strongly feel the need to support the people in our towns, especially educators, first responders and our front-line workers.”
