MEA Arts Sampler Camp

October 17-18, 8:30 AM-3:30 PM, Grades 1-6

Looking for high quality education for your kids that exercises their creativity? Send them to MAC’s multidisciplinary arts camp! It’s a great opportunity for them to test out a wide variety of arts disciplines with skilled, experienced teaching artists. Woodbury Days

Woodbury Days, the city's biggest and most beloved summer festival, returns to Ojibway Park at the end of the month for its 41st year. Organizers report that, last year, almost 300 businesses participated in the event and more than 30,000 people attended. Check online for a detailed schedule of events, but don’t miss some perennial favorites: the business fair, the bingo tent, the petting zoo, the Taste of Woodbury, the beer tent…you get the idea. Irish Fair in St. Paul

Preserve, cultivate and celebrate the rich Irish heritage along the Mississippi River by delving into authentic dishes, listening to live music and watching Irish dancers perform. Nativity County Fair

Nativity of Our Lord School and Church, 1900 Stanford Avenue in St. Paul, is holding its annual County Fair on Friday September 13 (5-10pm), Saturday September 14 (10am-5pm) and Sunday September 15 (11:30am-5pm). Together It Gets Better 5K

The public is invited to join the Suicide Prevention Collaborative at the 9th annual “Together it Gets Better” 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, September 14th at Colby Lake Park Pavilion in Woodbury, MN.  On-site registration opens at 8am and the event will begin at 9am.

On average, one person dies by suicide every 11 hours in the state of Minnesota. It’s the 2nd leading cause of death for young adults. And while there is no single cause to suicide, it’s possible to reduce these statistics and save lives. Read more about Together It Gets Better 5K
