Luminary Hike

AT MAPLEWOOD NATURE CENTER, 2659 E 7TH ST., MAPLEWOOD, MN 55119.

Friday JANUARY 17, 6:30PM-8:00PM

Snowshoe (need 6 inches) or hike along our luminary trail. If the weather conditions allow; we’ll check out some holes in the ice, and try your hand at making a new one. Win an Ice Globe luminary kit to take home!

(ALL AGES)

Crafts! Science! Nature! Cut and create beautiful snowflakes for your windows, and other snowflake crafts from simple to highly complex. Learn how snowflakes are formed in the sky, and peer at beautiful preserved snowflake crystals up close on the microcam. Brains On! LIVE: Your Brain is Magic

Brains On!, the widely popular podcast for curious kids and their grownups from American Public Media, is hitting the big stage with an all new science-themed show. Co-hosts Molly Bloom, Marc Sanchez and Sanden Totten will show audiences how the human brain can take a handful of signals from the eyes and ears and turn them into vibrant pictures of the world.  There will be magic tricks, dance moves, out-of-body experiences and even a game show. River Valley Church Woodbury Launch

You’re Invited: Launch Day 

On Sunday 22nd September River Valley Church Woodbury is moving to our new, permanent location! We have renovated a facility at 7805 Hudson Road, right off I-94 and Radio Drive, featuring a state of the art kids environment built with families in mind! We have two services - 9.30am and 11am- and  we will be launching in style, with a bounce house for the kids and free refreshments. Come along and check out our new facility, we would love to welcome you!

Grand Opening of New Aris Clinic

Aris Pediatric Behavioral Health Clinic is opening a second Woodbury site to address care shortages for youth ages 5 to 18 in the five-county metro area and western Wisconsin. All are welcome to attend the free grand opening of Aris Clinic - Woodwinds, 4 - 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26 (ribbon cutting is at 4:30) at the newly constructed building at 2040 Woodwinds Drive, Woodbury. Connecting Community Breakfast

Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf (CCEFS) hosts its annual Connecting Community Breakfast this month. A $25 ticket includes breakfast and a seat at the table to watch keynote speaker Mark Scharenbroich, an Emmy winner who will share his story, “Nice Bike,” an inspiring tale about connecting with others (a fitting theme for an event that’s all about supporting neighbors, especially over a meal).
