FamilyMeans Nature Memories Open House

 

Join us at Belwin's Education Site for a joint event hosted by Belwin Conservancy and FamilyMeans. Designed for persons with memory loss and their caregivers, this event will feature live music, nature-inspired arts activities, short guided nature walks and bird watching. Poet Zoë Bird, creator of the Alzheimer’s Poetry Project Minnesota, will also be present, along with musician Andrea Stern, courtesy of Compas. Woodbury Youth Engagment Leadership Academy

This program is a 5-week service learning, leadership development and entrepreneurial program. It’s designed to give students who are incoming seniors (grade 12) opportunities to develop critical skills necessary for increased community engagement. In the program they will also acquire real world skills to succeed in the business environment and explore entrepreneurship in the 21st century. 2022 Food Truck Extravaganza

The very popular Food Truck Extravaganza community event takes another bite out of Stillwater when it returns on June 18th, 2022 at the Washington County Fairgrounds!

Belwin Bison Festival

Fun activities for all ages. 5k Run with the Bison at 9:00 a.m. (fun trail run prior to the bison’s arrival), then live music, eco-arts, food trucks, and the bison release from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

9:00 a.m.: Run with the Bison

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Festival

$10 per car.

Midwinter Family Fun

View the stars and moon with Minnesota Astronomical Society members, meet a raptor from Carpenter Nature Center, and enjoy arts/ecological activities and a campfire with s’mores.

Belwin’s Education Center and the Joseph J. Casby Observatory will be open.

$10 per car.

Book Giveaway & Meet the Author

Author Sheletta Brundidge, known as Minnesota’s Autism Mom, is giving away hundreds of copies of her new best-selling book, Daniel Finds His Voice.

The book, which was recently featured on CBS This Morning, sold out two days after its release and is currently on reprint. It was written to help raise awareness about the impact that music has for children with special needs. The storyline is based on her son's connection to one special song that went viral in the summer of 2019.  Read more about Book Giveaway & Meet the Author
