While there is nothing like a gorgeous winter day in Minnesota, it’s this time of year when I find myself daydreaming of sunny spring days spent in the garden. Thankfully, that daydreaming also acts as a perfect time to accomplish spring planning.

One local author is capturing the glamour, glitz and gossip of the true stories of old Hollywood one book at a time, and proving you’re never too old to begin anew.

Local dentist Dr. George Kinney Jr. didn’t necessarily intend to spend thousands of hours over the course of his career volunteering, but “when you say ‘yes,’ you get presented with lots of opportunities to help and learn,” he says.
