Many of us have noticed this quaint red barn on the northwest corner of Valley Creek Road and Manning Avenue, a nod to Woodbury’s farming heritage. “I’ve seen it many times while driving down Valley Creek Road and always wanted to photograph it,” Shannon Rode says.

Bridge is a dynamic card game that has a bit of an image problem. Poker and blackjack, for example, conjure up visions of high-stakes card games with Vegas lights, dry martinis and Lady Luck. Even children’s games like crazy eights and slap jack have a reputation for being entertaining.

When most of us think of Carver Lake, we think of its peaceful blue waters and woodsy trails, a respite in our city that truly has that “up north” feel.

Best friends Emma Schifsky and Lily Van der Sman traveled over the Atlantic with Woodbury Magazine to visit Lily’s Oma (Grandma) and Opa (Grandpa) in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Tom and Maureen Plante and Clare and Tom Schisler caught up on the local news while in Switzerland as they traveled through Europe.

Following his retirement from customer service with Delta/Northwest Airlines, Steve Kobayashi has more time to spend walking the family pet, 12-year-old golden retriever Maddie. In the winter, the pair often head to nearby Eagle Valley Golf Course.

Voting has come and gone for the 2015 Best of Woodbury.
